To the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine

Ukraine is the state the national identity of which is based on spiritual principles of Christianity. Its public relations have always been built on high moral values. However today there arise in our state some unhealthy tendencies which can lead to degradation of the nation and destruction of a family institution. We are talking about the attempts on the side of the Council of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) organizations to legitimize a homosexual conduct as a regulation and to obtain the right to holding gay parades.

The natural understanding of the concepts – the father and the mother – is endangered. We see here a destructive attack on a family institution, on our ancient traditions and values, where spouses – is exclusively the union of the man and the woman. The family plays an important role in the life of society, in its stabilization and overcoming of social problems. It is the first place where a person’s outlook and his system of moral values is formed up. A healthy, strong family is the key to society’s prosperity.

The attempt to legitimize juvenile justice in our state also makes us uneasy. Under the guise of legal and judicial protection of juveniles’ rights they try to establish in our state total control over our children on the side of public services, having thus limited parental rights in upbringing of their children.

Considering it, we ask you not to allow adoptions of the laws which contradict

the legislation of our state and are aimed at destruction of traditional Christian values in the Ukrainian society.

Relying on the above, we ask you:

1. To stop the processes of gender policy implementation in Ukraine which can lead to legalization of   homosexual and lesbian marriages and to obtaining by them the permission to adopt children.
2. Not to allow holding in Ukraine gay parades and henceforth other similar actions directed at leveling of a family institution.
3. Not to allow implementation of juvenile justice which limits parental rights concerning the upbringing    of their children.
4. To introduce to the text of the Constitution the link to Christianity as a basis of moral and cultural values of the people of Ukraine; and also to insert in the text of the Constitution the regulation according to which spouses is the union only between the man and the woman.
